The site we use near Annalong Forest in the mountains is a wonderful secluded site. Unlike the other sites we use, this area is full of Pine trees.
A beautiful mountain stream runs through the site providing us with a clean (But cold!!) bathing area.
Courses run here are day and weekend courses, mainly focusing on shelter building and bushcraft taster sessions.
This site is also one of our favourite sites to hang out when we are off, as it is simply so secluded and peaceful, the only disturbances are caused by the badger family who live on the site too.
Directions
Follow the A 24 from Belfast through Castlewellan and Newcastle into Annalong. On the right is a pub, followed by a long high brick wall to the left of the road. Park in the parking spaces provided when joining our courses, and we will meet you there soon. if you'd just like to visit the area yourself, turn right just before reaching Annalong towards Spelga-Dam and Silent Valley.
